Create Powerful Video Demos and Sizzle Reels
to Sell Your Speaking Services
(WEBINAR)
with Ed Primeau

Ed PrimeauWe know that the best way to have potential clients discover the value we can bring as speakers is for those clients to see us in action. And if they can’t be there in person, the next best way for them to see us is in video.

What is the best way to present yourself to a meeting planner using video? What are they looking for, and what will impress them most?

Ed Primeau has been producing video for speakers for decades. He knows what works, and in this webinar he’ll *show* you how you can have powerful promotional video that can sell your services.

Read more about this session at the bottom of this newsletter, then register or pre-order the MP3. Note: Everyone who registers for the webinar will get the MP3 recording of the session for free, as well as a link to the recorded video.

Intensive — Using Video to Attract and Close More Sales

Video — you know it brings in more viewers than printed words. You know it can dramatically increase your brand and your business. And you know you are daunted by the prospect of producing and promoting videos.

You don’t want to produce another of the millions of boring videos that get no traction. But where do you start? What are people looking for? What kind of camera setup, lighting, sound, teleprompter and background might you need? How do you do it on a tight budget? How do you ensure those looking for what you offer can find it?

How can you create videos to use in your presentations to make a point? Do you need a script? How much time should you allow to record when you’re not just standing in front of a camera?

These questions and more will be covered in these three SNN webinar recordings.

  • “YouTube: The Free Tool You’re Not Using Enough to Bring You Business” (Webinar) with Darren LaCroix, CSP
  • “Strategies, Tips and Tools for Creating Videos for Marketing and Sales” (Webinar) with Frank Furness
  • “Create Dazzling Videos to Transfix Audiences and Springboard Your Business” (Webinar) with Eric Chester, CSP, CPAE

Miscellaneous Tips

Send birthday e-book to contactsBob Prentice

When notified of a LinkedIn or Facebook connection’s birthday, I message them a birthday wish. PLUS, I attach my e-book as my birthday gift. The thank-yous have been nice. The discoveries I made as I reviewed their profiles? Priceless.

PowerPoint tip about using ZoomElizabeth Bowden

Zoom does not need to be installed and is not an add-on or third party app you have to buy. It’s included with PowerPoint 2016! This article explains it: “Zoom lets you zip around your presentation to different slides instead of clicking through laboriously one slide at a time.” To use Zoom, click Insert > Zoom then select Summary, Slide or Section Zoom.

Action-oriented articles on public relations, social media and content marketing topicsElayne Savage

“Your Weekly LIft from 2pinz” is a terrific free weekly tip sheet for marketing and communications.

Here’s a sample of one of the tips: “10 Awesome Sources To Write Blog Posts On Trending Topics.” I signed up through LinkedIn but you can contact david@2pinz.com.

Instant PDF Download: “6 Keys to Rapidly Grow Your Speaking-Driven Business.” How to elevate your fees to “pro” status; How to overcome 6 biggest blockages that separate 5-figure speakers who struggle from 6-figure+ speakers who succeed; How to maximize your “revenue pie” and get your marketing/sales engine unstuck for good.

Travel Tips

Pack empty water bottleMiriam Reiss

Pack and fill a small plastic water bottle and have it beside you during your talk. I’ve hunted enough for hotel water glasses, and sometimes worried about spilling or breaking the glass I was given. This way, I’m covered.

Travel with baby food?Sarah Layton

I read an interesting article on how adults are using baby food as an easy, portable way to get good nutrition on the fly. The article chronicles how reporter Hallie Jackson flies 250,000 mpy and packs healthy baby food to supplement her meals. It goes on to give a commentary on how regulated baby food is and how it is better than donuts or pizza.

Pack sealing tapeRebecca Morgan

If you’re traveling with a cardboard box of books to multiple stops, carry a small roll of packing tape to reseal the box after every stop. It saves time and hassle of having the bellman come to your room to seal it each time. It can also be pressed into use to repair falling hems and suitcases, as a lint remover, and for other travel mishaps.

Charlie Hawkins

Susan Nurre’s tip in the 2/26/16 SNN on finding which side of a rental (or any) car the gas tank is located — by looking at the gas pump symbol next to the gauge — was as brilliant as it is simple. It’s a great time-saver when traveling.

Ed PrimeauVideo is critical to selling our speaking services. We know our buyers are consuming more video than ever before. While videos are easy to shoot, they need to meet our prospects’ expectations. The professional speaking business has become very competitive. How we can show we are different from our competition? We have to be different and stand out to be noticed. We can no longer guess what might work.
