I was having trouble pre-assigning breakouts manually via the web portal, as well as uploading a CSV file of the assignments. I finally got to Support and they said to clear the browser cache. Then I uploaded the CSV file and it worked like a charm!

I find it stressful to assign rooms manually in a session when I want specific people in a room together rather than random. I couldn’t figure out how to make it work, even though I’d read the documentation. This clear cache secret isn’t in any of the support docs, so wanted to save you from pulling out your hair.

Also, Zoom has a new option: “Let participants choose room.” So you could label your rooms with different topics and let them choose their room without having to make them all co-hosts.
