How You Can Add Coaching to Your Offerings
with Marcia Reynolds, PsyD, Master Certified Coach

Marcia ReynoldsIt’s exciting to stand in front of an audience and share your expertise with a group. But sometimes you can have the most impact working one-on-one with leaders and key individuals.

This is what coaches do, and coaching has gained wide acceptance and significance in recent years.

Does it take special training to be a coach? Could you start today to offer coaching services to your clients? Come join us as a past global president of the International Coaching Federation helps us add coaching to our repertoire while clearing up some common misconceptions.

Read more about this session at the bottom of this newsletter, then register for the live program or pre-order the recording.
Note: Everyone who registers for the live webcast session or orders the recording will get a link to the recorded video of the online webcast, as well as the audio MP3 for convenient re-listening.

Intensive — Up-Level Your Business through Outsourcing

There’s just too much to do. You feel mired down with social media, marketing, updating your website, upgrading your slides, video editing, bookkeeping, and so many other tasks. You’d love others to help so you can focus on the things only you can do. But help can have a hefty price tag.

How do you find and get competent people up to speed so you can offload tasks to them? How do you ensure they can do what they say they can? How do you manage them remotely? How do you determine what can be delegated?

These recordings will answer these questions and more.

  • “Transform Your Business with a $400/Month Employee: How to Outsource Operational Tasks to Assistants Abroad” with Nate Woodbury
  • “Outsource for Marketing Success: 7 Simple Steps to Marketing Made Easy” with Chuck Gallagher
  • “Top 10 Things to Quit *Now* if You Want to Soar to the Next Level!” with Connie Podesta, CSP, CPAE and Ford Saeks, CSP, CPAE

Quarantine clause in contractJerry Teplitz

Since in-person bookings are coming back, I realized I needed to change my contract to cover COVID-19. Here’s what I created:

“When Speaker has arrived at the location of the event and until speaker departs, this clause shall apply: If Speaker is quarantined for any reason during Speaker’s stay, then Sponsor agrees to pay for all additional lodging and meal expenses Speaker incurs while Speaker is quarantined.”

Topic of the Month (TOTM) — Your Input Wanted

Our TOTM is: What are some of your long-term speaking business success nuggets?

Send your brief, pithy responses *that are different from those previously mentioned* to editor@SpeakerNetNews.com. Please put “Topic of the Month” or “TOTM” in the subject line.

Sarita Maybin

Here are my nuggets for long-term speaking business success. Some are similar to ones submitted already but with a slightly different focus.

  • Make speaker travel fun — see sights, lunch with colleagues, get out of the hotel (pre-pandemic)
  • Get a life — when not on the road, do something besides work the business 24/7
  • Partner with a marketing person and/or speaker bureaus to help promote you
  • Stay connected with clients and audience members through monthly newsletter and social media
  • Engage the audience, even virtually, to make a real and relevant connection
  • Be willing to selectively present “marketing” (free) presentations to your target market prospects
  • Life-long learning — attend NSA and/or other professional development opportunities for continued improvement
  • Write the book — builds credibility and some clients seek out authors as speakers and include book signing at the event

How You Can Add Coaching to Your Offerings
with Marcia Reynolds, PsyD, Master Certified Coach

Marcia ReynoldsIn this time of upheaval, speakers and trainers are exploring other services they can offer their clients. You may have considered adding coaching, but know you need to be trained in the best practices and ethics before offering this. You want to be able to ride the global wave of exponential growth in coaching.

Many speakers resist getting trained to be an effective coach instead of being an advisor or mentor, believing the myth that it takes too much time and money to be a coach. This program will *demythify* what it takes to be a coach, or at least how to add a coaching approach to your conversations.

You will learn a few simple coaching skills you can start using with clients today. You will also hear advice on how to merge coaching into your current line of products and services.

You will be able to:

  • intelligently talk about the value of coaching as different from speaking and consulting so you can sell it as a separate service within your current business model.
  • start using four coaching skills today and then build your competency with practice.
  • notice your mental habits that sabotage coaching and learn 3 ways to change your mind.
Register for the live program or order the recording.
Note: Everyone who registers for the live webcast session or orders the recording will get a link to the recorded video of the online webcast, as well as the audio MP3 for convenient re-listening.
