The Program:

Perhaps you have (or want to have) a talk show with guests, whether video or podcast. Would you like to know what world-class talk show hosts do to ensure gobs of people tune in? It’s not as easy as top hosts make it seem. They work hard and have a team helping them prepare to make each interview stand out. Even if you don’t have a team of writers and producers, you can adapt practices these hosts utilize.

And how can you stand out when you’re a guest for any show, whether on local cable TV, a podcast, or a major TV show? What can you do before, during and after to increase the likelihood you’ll be invited back?

For decades, Nick has worked in the talk show industry. As Senior Vice President of Late Night Programming (West Coast) at ViacomCBS, in charge of The Late Late Show with James Corden, he’s seen a lot of what works and what doesn’t. He shares his observations so you can modify them for your situation.

In this session, you will learn:

  • what outstanding talk show hosts do before and during interviews
  • how to avoid turning off your audience
  • as a guest, what you can do before, during and after the interview to increase the chances you’ll be invited back
